Correctional Medical Services for Mississippi County Jails
Mississippi Correctional Services is comprised of five partners with a combined total of seventy years’ corrections experience in the fields of medicine, nursing, accounting, administration, human resources, and consulting.
These specialized credentials have created the only correctional medicine company within the Magnolia State, and we are devoted to providing exceptional quality of care to our communities’ county jails and the offenders who are relying on us.
We are committed to delivering safe, cost-effective services to our partners, and ensuring a collaborative relationship is maintained with the MS Board of Medicine, MS Board of Nursing, MS Board of Pharmacy, MS Department of Health, and MS Department of Mental Health and their collaborative agencies.
In addition to providing medical, mental health and ancillary services as laboratory and x-ray services, we negotiate contractual agreements for off-site specialist and hospital services to ensure the best level-of care is delivered in a cost-effective manner.
Our team is comprised of individuals who are certified by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) as Certified Correctional Health Professionals (CCHP), and as a NCCHC surveyor conducting jail and prison medical audits within the United States.
Our providers and nurses can address acute and chronic medical conditions that can be treated at the facility for males and females, adults and juveniles, and we have a network of specialists that are located offsite as well. Most laboratory and diagnostic services are available on site to aid the facility in the reduction of transportation security risks. The processes of sick call, health assessment intakes, chronic care clinic and emergency response are provided by experienced registered nurses and license practical nurses in their field of correctional medicine and are licensed by the MS Board of Nursing. Nursing coverage ranges from 24 hours, 7 days a week to 12 hours, 7 days a week as preferred by our customers. Our medical correctional experts are certified by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care and apply these standards of care in conjunction with the Board of Medicine, Board of Nursing, and Board of Pharmacy standards to establish the best practices in correctional medicine. These are a handful of the jail medical services that we provide, but there are several others, and we can custom-craft solutions for each respective client partner.Learn More
